I am a final year Computer Engineering undergraduate at the National University of Singapore (NUS), with a focus on software engineering.
I was part of Seagate Technology's Global IT team, where I was directly mentored by a principal engineer and worked on two disparate projects:
Building high-throughput proxies for Kafka brokers situated worldwide, providing an abstraction layer between data analysts, GenAI systems, and the underlying Kafka clusters.
Creating an enterprise RAG intelligence system from scratch — the first internal beta deployed within the Global IT team. It comprised of knowledge-pipelining tools, a distributed RAG systerm, and integration with GitHub Copilot, giving coding agents access to over 2 million lines of code and 10,000+ pages of documentation, with high quality retrieval and efficient context management. The product was ultimately presented to the SVP of GenAI and the CIO, Grace Liu.
At Keysight, I worked as part of the backend software team, where I helped create an internal gRPC microservice implementing a custom low-latency stochastic gradient descent algorithm that became the bedrock of a machine learning microservice architecture. This reduced the analysis of a several-billion-point high-dimensional search space for PCB board testing from several days to several minutes.
At NUS, I was a lab instructor and teaching assistant for CS2040C (Data Structures and Algorithms) and CS1010 (Programming Methodology). I also helped co-organise LifeHacks, a hackathon with 500+ participants.
